To all Friends and Benefactors of CMS:

RE: “Supporting the Mission of the Comboni Missionary Sisters”

Dear Friends,
We, the Comboni Missionary Sisters, greet you and your family, confident that you all are well.

We were hopeful that this year we would hold our Annual traditional Fund-raising Dinner. However, realizing that covid-19 cases continue to increase in some areas, we opted to repeat the last year’s “Take away meal” event.

In our December-January Bulletin, perhaps many of you read that we raised $17,526.07 net, including monetary and in-kind donations. Thus, once again, we are inviting you and your families to continue supporting us in this year’s event, which will be held at our driveway at 1307 Lakeside Ave, Richmond, VA. on November 13, 2021, from 3-5 pm.

We are hoping to have a higher income than the last year. Would you consider donating at least $15.00 per dish to help us achieve our mission? With your support and generosity, you will help our sisters in the community of Bergamo, Italy, who were significantly affected by the pandemic. Also, you will collaborate for our Student Endowment Fund and some mission projects from our sisters in Latin America.

Find enclosed the card with the menu, and please, send your request by October 31st. We appreciate your spreading the word with family and friends.

We take this opportunity to express our best wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving 2021. Hopefully, this year a “presential’ family gathering will be possible to strengthen family bonds. May God bless you all!

On behalf of the Comboni Missionary Sisters in the U.S.A.,

Sister Delia Margarita Contreras, cms

Present

Dear caring supporter,

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

On behalf of the COMBONI MISSIONARY SISTERS, I thank you very much for your love and support. Thank you so much for your loving presence and commitment that made the “takeaway meal,” a successful fundraising activity. We could not have done it without you!

We do not take for granted the precious gift of time, vision, and energy needed to organize this event. You have offered us your love, vision and care, in-kind contributions, and donations, and we are grateful. We appreciate all you have done and continue doing to help us carry out our mission in the United States and abroad. We are blessed and honored.

This fundraising initiative was conducted to support our missions abroad, especially in Latin America. Thank you for your continuous support, concern, and care for us and our mission. Pray for us that we may be faithful in witnessing and spreading God’s Word and love to others, especially the marginalized.

We take this opportunity to assure you of our prayers. We wish you a joyful Thanksgiving in the company of your beloved ones, whether you celebrate it in-person or virtually.

Blessings in abundance as we move through Thanksgiving and into the season of Advent.

Sincerely,

Sr. Delia Margarita Contreras, CMS
CMS Development Office Coordinator
